About Clau

Claudia is a Salvadoran-Californian mother, artista, teatrista, arts educator, and low-key astrologer born in Santa Tecla, San Salvador, El Salvador and raised by a mixed family which includes a Salvadoran mother and grandmother, Salvadoran father, and Mexican stepfather, in Echo Park and Baldwin Park, CA.  


She is now a mother of 2, partner of 1, and second mother of 1. Her children are being raised in a multi-generational household (aka grandmas house) by a Salvadoran-Californian mother and Guatemalan-Californian father…and all the grandparents and great-grandma and tias and tios, in Baldwin Park, CA and beyond.


Claudia received a Neuroscience and Behavior B.S. from the University of California, Santa Cruz. She is interested in alternative healing practices, nutrition, self-healing, deconstructing and healing immigrant family structures, arts education, science and math as tools for liberation. Current projects include: raising a baby and toddler, vegetarian and vegan cuisine, a second mural at Hilda Solis Learning Academy in East LA.


She’s a student and practitioner of theater for social change and over the last 12 years she has worked with Rainbow Theater and African American Theater Arts Troupe at UCSC, El Teatro Campesino in San Juan Bautista and Moonaguas Teatro collective in Los Angeles.
